Conservatory freshen-up in Chelmsford
This customer asked for the old carpets and low level skirting board boxing to be removed that hid the pipework for the tiny radiator in this once cold and drab conservatory.
Cornerstone Home Services set about and completed the following works;
- New pipework run chased into the walls
- New radiator better suited to warm the space
- Wall repair and prep work
- New LVT laid to flow from the matching flooring in the kitchen
- New MDF skirting boards
- Full re-decoration
- Bespoke storage cabinets
- Change of socket and switch plates
Basin replacement in Witham
This customer was unlucky enough to drop a bottle of aftershave on their bathroom basin leaving a sizeable hole!
Cornerstone Home Services were called and replaced the old basin for a bigger new one. the pipework was adjusted to suit, a new pop up waste installed and a fresh silcone seal to finish the job off!
Bespoke boiler surround in Witham
One of our customers had a new boiler fitted and the old surround no longer worked.
Cornerstone Home Services were recommended and created this bespoke surround from MDF which was then painted to blend with the new boiler. Removable panels were created so the boiler could keep on being maintained in the future.
Sub-board replacement in Tiptree
We were asked by this customer to inspect the work of a previous 'electrician' after they had some concerns of their workmanship.
Needless to say the work we found was shocking to say the least! This sub-board in an annex loft space was a bit of a squeeze to work on, however that's certainly no excuse for poor and potentially dangerous work, not in our eyes anyway!
A new board was installed and the circuits were tested to give this customer piece of mind knowing that it was now done properly!
Toilet repair in Maldon
Everyone needs the use of a toilet, and when this customers toilet started to leak they called us.
The majority of fittings inside the cistern were old and worn.
The leak was coming from the rubber washer that the cistern sits on and leaked whenever it was flushed.
After a discussion with the customer it was considered to be the best option to replace all the fittings to keep this toilet flushing for many more years to come.
Decking replacement in Witham
After years of enjoyment this customers old timber decking had seen better days.
Cornerstone Home Services were recommended to remove, replace and upgrade the decking so this customer can keep on using it (when the weather allows!)

Bathroom upgrade - Heybridge
We were asked to completely renovate this bathroom in Heybridge
Out with the old and in with the new!
A new bath, shower screen, thermostatic bar mixer shower, vanity basin, close coupled toilet, black column radiator, wall and floor tiles and a tiled bath panel with removable access, all completed by Cornerstone Home Services.
Kitchen floor and stopcock replacement in Maldon
We were asked to replace the old Lino flooring in this elderly customers kitchen after it had seen better days.
Before the flooring could be installed, we came across an issue or two! When trying to remove the washing machine we found the washing machine tap was unusable, we offered to replace this as we needed it to work! Cue 2nd problem. The main stopcock also didn't work, seized solid after years of non-use! After discussion with the customer we offered to change the stop cock for a much more managable lever valve. We were able to do all this without having to rely on or pay for another trade. this didn't keep us or our customer waiting. Problems happen in the real world, luckily we have the skill set to overcome most of them!
With the problems out of the way the new LVT flooring was installed throughout and silicone sealed for a fresh, lasting finish and one more very grateful and happy customer.
Balustrade installation in Heybridge
This growing family wanted a new handrail and spindles (balustrade) to prevent their young children falling over the edge!
Cornerstone Home Services set about to do just that, installing this timeless balustrade following all relevant regulations and guidance to ensure optimum safety whilst delivering lasting results. All ready for the customer to paint!
Toilet repair in Wickham Bishops
Problems flushing their toilet resulted in this customer giving us a call
After investigation the siphon washer was found to be disintegrating, many holes and tears rendered it useless. Other parts in the cistern were also showing their age. After a brief discussion the customer opted to change all of the parts to keep it working for many years to come and reduce the risk of any more parts failing.
Fencing replacement in Witham
A customers neighbour asked us if we could re-build their rotten fencing that had seen one too many winters.
A new framework with treated timber was constructed for a solid foundation for the feather edge boarding to be installed. All finished with a coat of fencing treatment for a lasting finish.
LVT flooring in Witham
We were asked to replace the flooring throughout the living room to extension for this customer.
Cornerstone Home Services quickly transformed the space by installing the customers own style of LVT flooring throughout.
